Baby Mobile Instructions
Your mobile has arrived now what do you do next?
Hang it obviously! But first you need to do a few things!
Do you have:
A stand to hang it?
A hook above the place you want to hang it?
If the answer is no to the above 2 options then you can purchase a stand from here, here, or here – or a hook from any hardware store. We use a screw hook (see image below) as it is very easy to screw it in with your hand and it looks great like it is floating!
Most stores stock the hook in gold, silver and white. We use white as our ceiling is painted a light colour.
If you are attaching to your ceiling you will want to grab yourself some fishing line or string to tie to the metal ring at the top of the mobile so the mobile is hanging at the desired level.
We hang ours where it is visible when laying in bed but not where our daughter can grab it. It is “just” out of reach!
It is advised to keep at a distance where they cannot touch it as it is not a toy.
UNPACKING THE MOBILE FROM THE BOX:
Next once you have sorted out where you will hang it, you now need to open the packaging without getting it tangled.
We package each section into it’s own individual bag so it avoids getting tangled when it is transported.
First find the ring and hold it up. Then find the koala and make sure it falls inside the hoop.
Check the hoop is the right side up by looking where the string comes out of the wood. Is the string wrapped over the wood or coming directly from a hole in the wood? When it is coming directly out of the wood this is the correct side up.
It really does not matter if it is wrapped over the wood as it still looks good, but if you are a perfectionist like myself you will want to have it the correct way up!
Then take the plastic off the koala and baby. Then each section one by one making sure it is not tangled before opening the next packet!
Then hang and you’re done!
